The demands of modern technology have placed increasing performance requirements on magnetic components at a range of length scales. This, in turn, requires engineering of new materials and understanding their properties. The speakers in this session will discuss some of these problems and will address the issues at length of scales ranging from the atomic to the continuum scale.
