Peale C Room
The focus of this two-part minisymposium is on computational methods for the evaluation of electrostatic, elastic and plastic fields in materials with complex microstructure. Most of the speakers will discuss integral equation and particle simulation methods. These approaches have shown substantial promise in recent years in terms of both speed and accuracy.
The presentations are intended for a broad audience of engineers, physicists, and mathematicians interested in composite materials, and will provide a useful survey of the state of the art in computational methods.
